What does "ISO Menu Support" mean?

Many media players can play ISO files (disc images) only as the main movie. The R82 behaves like a real player: It shows you the original Blu-ray or UHD menu, allowing you to comfortably select extras, scenes, or audio tracks.

Does streaming from a NAS work well?

Absolutely. Thanks to Gigabit LAN and the optimized SMB/NFS protocol, even high-bitrate 4K files (Remuxes) can be streamed smoothly at over 100 Mbit/s. Library indexing (Cover-Wall) also works directly over the network.

Can I watch Netflix in 4K?

The R82's focus is on the perfect playback of your own files from hard drive or NAS. It does not have certification for Netflix 4K or Disney+. These apps often run only in SD quality. If you want to stream primarily, we recommend our Google-certified models.

Does it support 3D?

Yes, the R82 supports 3D MVC (in MKV or ISO containers) and outputs the signal frame-packed to your 3D TV or projector.

Which hard drives are supported?

You can connect almost any hard drive (HDD/SSD) via the side SATA port or the USB ports. We have successfully tested capacities of up to 16TB. Formatting can be done in NTFS, exFAT, or EXT4.
